Church with a Rich History

The little church, with humble beginnings, is a beacon in the community.

Swedish settlers wanted freedom to worship and practice their faith, without the restrictions placed on them back in Sweden in the 1800's.

They came over as farmers, merchants, craftspeople, and fishermen.

Then & Now

In 2012, our congregation made the decision to construct a prayer garden where once the parsonage stood. We invite you to experience this tranquil outdoor space and enjoy a little solitude during your visit to Stockholm. The gazebo and park-like setting are perched atop the village's business district, providing an ideal view. In the springtime, the grounds are filled with the scent of fresh lilacs and eagles soar overhead.
